The Lifesavers National Conference on Highway Safety Priorities was held March 31-April 2, 2019 in Louisville, Kentucky. Safe-D student Sirajum Munira from Texas A&M University presented research results from Safe-D Project TTI-01-01: Analysis of an Incentive-Based Smartphone App for Young Drivers.
On February 27, 2019, Safe-D Associate Director Sue Chrysler (TTI) represented Safe-D at the 2019 Global Symposium for Connected and Automated Vehicles and Infrastructure, sponsored by the Center for Connected and Automated Transportation (CCAT).
Twelve researchers from Virginia Tech/Virginia Tech Transportation Institute, Texas A&M/Texas A&M Transportation Institute, and San Diego State University attended the Transportation Research Board (TRB) 98th Annual Meeting in January to present findings of their Safe-D National UTC research projects.
The Transportation Research Board (TRB) 98th Annual Meeting will be held January 13–17, 2019, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, in Washington, D.C. The information-packed program is expected to attract more than 13,000 transportation professionals from around the world.
