On Saturday September 7, 2019 Safe-D PhD student Alex Noble (VT) visited with 4th – 8th graders participating in the First Lego League (FLL) workshop hosted by the Roanoke College STEM and Robotics Outreach Project.
Alex provided the FLL teams with an introduction to transportation human factors, road safety, and connected and automated vehicle systems. This presentation was part of a series of workshops with experts with the goal of helping the teams identify a problem, doing research to learn more about it, and then proposing a solution (or improvement on an existing solution).
